Well. This was supposed to have been published on Friday, but that obviously didn’t work out. So, anyway, here ya go…
I met with my mentor! Yay!
-bows profusely, fireworks, cheering-
She has this enormous box of beads and supplies at the back of her class. I was like a kid in a candy shop – and one with an unlimited budget! Because, yes, she let me take anything because of the sheer amount of things. I have now a full box of beads, two more coils of wire, bracelet fasteners and earring hooks. Naturally, I got started as soon as I got home. I made my sister a blue keychain (see below) and a pair of silver-and-black earrings (also below – they are a bit crooked and not the same length, so I rather doubt anyone but me would want them, but they’re fine if you don’t look TOO closely…shh)
Anyways. My mentor had a chance to show me a few techniques in the limited time we had, but we promised to meet up again soon. I also might go over to her house to see even MORE beads that she has (is that POSSIBLE?) and to help her organize, and maybe to get some tools too.
Oh and one more thing!! While I was there, there was someone else in the classroom – a future morning TALONS! He was trying to set up this thing on the whiteboard with a wii remote and a computer…anyway, it’ll be cool to know a new grade 9 next year…and wow, strange to think I’ll be a grade 10 soon(ish) O_o
This post is drifting terribly off-course, so ’til next time…
